Murder and Mayhem

One of the advantages of sea days is that there is loads to do onboard ship such as learn a language, play bridge, learn to ballroom dance, line dance the list goes on. One of my personal favourites is going to the various talks given by learned Ladies and Gentlemen in their chosen fields. I have given the talks about being a chef in the Royal Household a miss and concentrated on the Murder Mystery talks. These have been mostly unsolved crimes from the 1930's. Yesterday's offering was the case of The Deadly Partridge, at a dinner party each person had a partridge served to them and the head of the house a Mr Chavis was poisoned with strychnine that had been injected to the breast of the bird after cooking, so the cook and butler were cleared and it was thought the wife who served the partridge to the guests was the guilty party but it was never proved. Fast forward to last nights meal in The Ligurian restaurant when on the menu appeared breast of partridge in a port reduction. Coincidence, wicked sense of humour or is she still out there looking for revenge? Personally I opted for the Waldorf Salad and a Sirloin Steak (keeping to plan, Lisa, Rosie, Victoria and Bog). For those of you who like weather related issues, we are now down to force 9 and should clear the Bay of Biscay tomorrow morning, but some squalls could hit 80-90mph over night, hang on to the duvet.

The Atrium over 4 decks on Oceana, plenty of grand staircase entrances
